Tour: Exploring Spania dolina mining heritage
The monument reserve of popular architecture in Spania Dolina presents monuments of popular architecture which are dispersed all over the region.
The former mining village is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Slovakia. Copper and silver ores were mined here in the past.
In order to reach the fortified church, we will climb 160 stairs of a roofed staircase.
The entrance is situated in a little park with the Renaissance building of the former klopacka (knocker) from the 16th century.
We will visit historical building of municipal office with new Museum of copper and then walk over the mining nature trail in a beautiful nature is a nice experience.
Meeting point: Banska Bystrica, pick up from other places on request (surroundings of Banska Bystrica) for extra charge.
